Work Is Tough These Days

I know it's been quite awhile since I've updated my blog, but to be honest, not much has happened. haha.

Well, at my work, things have slowed down a bit, but that's the case for any company these days. Unfortunately the company I work for had to let go of quite a few people. That was kind of hard on me because I had to see a few friends leave. Also, I acquired quite a bit more work. So, needless to say, I've been a bit stressed. AND, not only that, I work from about 7:30 to 5 everyday. And for those of you who know me well, I'm NOT a morning person. So having to wake up early, has been a struggle for me. haha. But I'm doing well other than that. It's been helpful to have a little bit of overtime though. :)

Allen's job has slowed down significantly. It's been a little frustrating for both of us. He needs to be working, so he is looking for another job right now. But we are saying our prayers and keeping the faith that everything will be fine. :) Gotta keep your chin up right?

Allen's brother, Drew, comes home in about 2 weeks from serving a mission in New York. Allen is SOOO excited to have his brother home. I'm excited because this will be the fourth time I've met him. I have met Drew on about 3 previous occasions. At that point, Allen and I had only been dating about 2 months. So it will be quite a change to have another Engebretsen I have to get used to. HAHA. But I'm definitely looking forward to it.

And in about 3 1/2 weeks me and Allen are joining his family to go BACK to New York, with Drew as our tour guide. He will be showing us where he served, introduce us to people he met, take us to the awesome tourist spots he found, and we'll be doing alot of the typical tourist stuff. I'm soooo excited. I've never been to New York! So that will be a fun trip and a much needed break from work. I know Allen and I are definitely looking forward to a nice get-away.

Well, that's the update for now. :) I'm sure I'll have more in a couple weeks.
