Engebretsen Update

The past couple of weeks, we've been keeping busy. I am constantly working. Don't ya just hate it when you spend more time in the workplace than you do in your own home, where you'd RATHER be?

Allen is still searching for a job. It's tough out there. There ARE in fact jobs to be had, however, there are also about 50-100 applicants for each open position. So it's rough. But we are trying very hard to keep high spirits and keep the faith that something will come up soon enough. :)

We have been busy with job searching, me working, and recently spent a week at a friend's apartment doggy-sitting while they were away for their anniversary. It was fun to sit and play with a little spunky puppy and a cute little 2 year old doggie. So it was a tiny little vacation for us...although we were maybe 2 minutes from our own home. :)

We also attended a wedding of our friends on the 17th. I was actually a bridesmaid in the wedding, so I was all decked out in the bridesmaid garb. It was a beautiful day for a wedding(the pic posted is actually FROM the wedding, and that's Allen's shoulder I'm leaning on). The ceremony and reception were actually held at Wadley Farms, the same place I had my reception. It was very different not being the bride of the wedding while we were there. I was constantly remembering things about my wedding day at Wadley's. Also a great day!! :)

We recently went boating with my family and loved it. It was my first attempt at knee-boarding. I got up on my first try but after that I was a little wobbley. Still fun though! I highly recommend it! My only battle wounds were a couple of huge mosquito bites on my back.
