Long Weekend! YAY!

This weekend, Allen and I have the opportunity to join my family down in Lake Powell until Monday. We will be down there for 3 nights. And we were thinking it might be fun to camp on the beach at LEAST one of the nights we are down there. The other nights will probably be spent on the houseboat. But the problem is, we only have 2 2-man tents. And to be honest, I'm only okay with sleeping in a 2-man if it's because we are back packing. Because then I'm in the mindset that it's supposed to be ridiculously small. haha. However, if we are staying somewhere more than 2 nights, and we AREN'T hiking in to the campspot, then I'd like a slightly bigger sleeping area. I don't want to be waking up with elbows in my face or the tent wall against my face. So last night we started shopping around for a new tent. And although we typically go with higher quality brands when it comes to our camping gear(cuz Allen is Mr. Camper Man! haha), we went to Wal Mart and were able to find this tent(the one pictured) for a great deal. It sleeps 6 and has a better rainfly than most cheaper tents of this size. I'm pretty excited to try it out tonight when we get down to Powell. It's our first "big" tent. So we'll see how it fairs. Hopefully the weather is nice and we won't have to sleep with the rain fly on. We'd be able to see the stars!
