Year One Coming To A Close

So! It's almost June 26th...and do you know what that means?? It means that Allen and I will have been married ONE YEAR! Time sure flies! That's such a cliche' line, but it's SO TRUE! It feels like we just got married. But here we are approaching that one year mark and we are so excited. We can hardly believe it. So we want to celebrate our first year of marriage by doing something fun. We had originally planned to go camping, one of our all time favorite activities. But then we thought some more and decided maybe we should do something a little different to celebrate this happy time. We started looking into places we could go, but MAN! Everything is so expensive. Just for the heck of it, I started looking into the prices for hotels down in Las Vegas. And lo and behold! I found a hotel...It's ON the strip, but about 4 miles south of all the hub bub that MAKES Vegas. I found it at the Grandview At Las Vegas. It's an 800 square foot suite with a jacuzzi and king bed....now get this, I got an incredible deal. $50 bucks a night! Killer deal. Normally the room is about $140 a night. I couldn't believe my luck. I NEVER luck out like this. HAHA! :) So I'm obviously ecstatic!So, badda bing badda boom, we booked the room and we're heading to Vegas. It should be a lot of fun because Allen has never been there. He's driven THROUGH, but never had Vegas AS the actual destination. So we will go through all the major hotels, dine, shop, maybe(if we can get a good price) go see a show, and then just cruise the strip. Ha ha, I even have printable coupons I found online for food and for shows if we choose to go to them.

I'm really excited for this little weekend getaway. It will be nice to "get away from it all!" And I can't wait to give Allen his anniversary gift. He will love it. I won't say what it is now, but I will definitely blog about how our trip went, and that's when I'll disclose what his present is. :)
