The Best Pet For Me? I Don't Think So....

So today as I sat at my desk actually hoping the dreadful phone would ring in hopes that it would lessen my miserable boredom and give me something to do, I came across an interesting Astrology article on MSN. It was called, "The Best Pet For Your Sign." This title caught my attention and I figured, "hey, why not." In reading the little paragraph associated to my sign, Sagitarius, I discovered that this article is completely WRONG! Here's what it had to say about me:

Sagittarius
Sagittarians are warm, enthusiastic, and vigorous, and they are looking for similar traits in a large, noble pet. Great Danes hit the mark with flying colors. The Great Dane's substantial and imposing appearance belies its friendly nature, and the dog is often referred to as a gentle giant. As pets, they are full of energy and need regular walking, which fits in well with the sporty lifestyle of Sagittarius. Robust, alert, and agile, a Great Dane will keep a Sagittarius owner active and in high spirits.

Seriously? A Great Dane?? ME?? Mmmmm, no thanks. Not only do I dislike extremely large dogs, I especially dislike Great Danes. They are the size of a small horse, and to be frank, they make me nervous. When I can stand and be at eye level with a dog, there's something wrong with that picture.
In reading this, I thought it was a cruel joke because since I've been married, it's been a constant playful argument with Allen about what pet we should get one day. HE wants a Great Dane. And I want the opposite. I would rather have a small lap dog. So when I told Allen about this particular article, he could do nothing more than laugh and taunt me saying "SEE! It's a sign! We are supposed to get a Great Dane, because whether or not you believe it, it's the best pet for YOU!" I strongly disagree. Ha! And I will continue to put my foot down! If we someday own a horse stable, then MAYBE we can get a Great Dane. But until that day, absolutely not!

Anyways, those of you that are interested should go check out the article on MSN. It's actually kind of an interesting read. Check it out!

  1. Here's vote #2 that this article is full of crap:
    Libra
Charming and poised, Librans with their refined tastes are happiest surrounded by exquisite beauty and harmony. The Peach-faced Lovebirds would make a lovely addition to a Libran home. The name "Lovebird" stems from these parrots' strong, monogamous pair-bonding, which Libra will appreciate. They are very social birds and are sure to be a hit at the many parties thrown by a Libra. With lots of love and attention, Lovebirds can become cherished companions, often snuggling up to or preening their owners, thus keeping Libra enamored.

Ew. I hate birds. The poop without warning, make all kinds of noise during all hours, and there's is nothing snuggley or cuddley about them. I've found my perfect pet - Rubio!
